How to know God
and have a relationship with Him
There comes a moment in time where we all ask, why are we here?
The creator of the universe designed for you to be beautifully and wonderfully made. We were made to have a relationship with Him.
You are God's masterpiece.
As it says in Psalm 139:14
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.”
You’re no accident. He knew you before the creation of the world and was full of love for you as you were being knit in your mother’s womb.
You are made with a purpose.
God knew you even before the creation of the world. Out of everything He created, we are his main focus. It’s not an accident that you are here.
Like it says in Isaiah 44:24:
Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself.”
But we have all fallen away from God
They have all fallen away; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. – Psalms 53:3
There’s no need to convince you that we have a problem. Everywhere we look in the world, we see evidence of our human sinfulness. Sin is what stands between us and God, preventing us from living in accordance with His plans for us. Because God IS good, rejecting Him means rejecting His goodness and justice. Without goodness, we commit terrible acts against ourselves, others, and the environment. The Bible says that God is the Judge of Creation and needs to deal with our sins. Our debt is so heavy that only He Himself could pay it.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.
JOHN 3:16
God is desperate for you to come to Him. He desires to have a relationship with you so much that He sent His perfect Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the debt that we owed. All of it – forever, at no cost to you. Jesus walked on Earth for a short time and allowed Himself to be beaten and crucified on a cross. After His death, He rose from the dead three days later in order to make way for us all to have a relationship with God. The only thing left for us is to accept what Jesus did on the cross – that God loves us, that He sent His Son to pay our price, and commit ourselves to living for Him. Then we just have to ask Him for that life!
Make Jesus your Lord and Savior today! Pray this prayer and say it out loud.
Father God, I come to you today in Jesus' name. I give you all of my heart and all of my life. Come in to my heart and be the Lord and Savior of my life. Forgive me of my sin, cleanse me of my past, and give me a future with you, Lord. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That He came, that He died, and that He was raised again to life just for me. Fill me now with your Holy Spirit. And let it be known that from this day on, I am a Christian. I am saved, I'm headed for heaven, and denying my presence in hell. Teach me your ways so that I can walk in them. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Did you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
